More tournament success for club!

Members of the Sevenoaks Karate and Kickboxing Club had recent success in the Weald Tournament hosted by the Northiam Karate Jutsu Kai Dojo.

We were represented in the Kumite (Karate Sparring), Kata (Forms) and Kickboxing Categories.

The club came away with a 3rd place in Senior High Grade Kata, and a 1st Place in Junior Girls Kickboxing.

This Tournament also signified a change in the club, with Sempai Ross, who has been teaching at the club for around 10 years about to move out to Dubai after a recent work promotion.
He will be sorely missed at the club, particularly by the many students who he has trained from a young age, who are now being regularly successful in tournaments.

New Red Belts!

Students from the Sevenoaks club took part in their first association grading recently.
The grading was tough, and the room was hot and sweaty.

All of the Sevenoaks students got through their technical and physical examination, and passed their first grading, achieving their 10th kyu's (Red belts).

The club instructors are extremely proud of their achievement.

Next up is some more training towards the annual Weald tournament, which the club hopes to continue its usual success.
