Weald Tournament Success!

Last weekend Sempai Matt, Head instructor at Sevenoaks KJK along with 2 young students took part in the Annual Weald of Kent KJK/WIBK Tournament held in Northiam.

Sempai Matt managed to retain his senior high grade kata title defeating strong competitors from all over the south east. Matt is pictured on the far right in the image below along with other competitors from the Eastbourne and Hailsham clubs.

Khloe and Louis, the junior competitors both took part in the kata and kumite catagories which are usually the largest categories on the day.
Louis performed some excellent kata ad narrowly missed out on a medal position achieving 4th place.
Khloe had similar success but in the kumite achieving 4th place after defeating a number of opponents along the way.

There was a lot of positives to take away from the day, but as always areas to improve ready for the next one! Well done to all competitors. Remember, the hardest part is stepping onto the mat!
